The bottle of Zubrowka Vodka contains a herb called "Bison Grass". This grass is a favorite of endangered bison in Polish forests.

These herbs are the main source of the aroma of Zubrowka Vodka. They are collected by hand and dried during the hottest part of the summer. They are also used together with rye during distillation.

The recipe consisting of Zubrowka Vodka + apple juice + lemon juice is called "Zubrowka Long".

The sale of Zubrowka Vodka was banned in America for a while. The reason is; It turns out that the "coumarin" substance found in "Bison Grass" is carcinogenic. Later, with the cultivation and use of herbs that do not contain "coumarin", this ban in the USA was lifted.
