Grand Marnier is a high-alcohol liqueur with 51% of its content consisting of cognac. You will feel a real burning sensation in your mouth while drinking it. However, it is useful to know that this burning sensation does not come from alcohol, contrary to what you think, but from that piercing aroma coming from orange peels. Grand Marnier has the same strength as any orange liqueur. But there are huge differences. It is the only orange liqueur – among the famous liqueurs – prepared with cognac. Moreover, the fact that 51% of its content comes from cognac makes this situation even more personal for him. You cannot easily see Grand Marnier drunk neat. Generally, this liqueur – although it can be drunk neat – is used by bartenders as a magic ingredient in cocktails.
